This problem happens every day it doesn't mean he is cheating on you it means what he said, the only way he would leave you is if he fell in love with someone else. Just make sure neither one of you have the need to fall in love with anyone else but each other and you should be fine...90% of the time they only think they have fallen in love with someone else anyway so just kiss him and tell him how much you love him daily
Whoa, talk about putting his foot in his mouth. I would hate to be him. I hope he knows how this left you feeling.....to ME it sounds like he might be looking around?. He sounds like a jerk and that you really don't mean as much as you should to him. Kind of like well if someone else comes along goodbye...makes me wonder if he is keeping you around until someone else comes along. I don't want to sound mean but I would keep a close eye on him, you had better not have kids with this one. Sorry you had to hear that ignorant remark, not something I could deal with very well.
what was he supposed to say I'll never leave you. You know I could tell my wife that I would never leave her but I have no idea what the future will bring. As it stands now I am very happy and in a solid relationship and have no intentions of leaving her and know that thought never crosses her mind either but whose to say what will happen so many years from now.

I don't see how this is so bad though. We can't help who we fall in love with. What he should be concerned with is not letting it happen. Not to put yourself in the situation where one might stray.
Well Its a fact that a man usually finds another woman before filing divorce, however the norm for a woman to file divorce is just when she's had enough. So yeah...men usually just kind of hang around until theres a woman to leave to...sleezy...maybe he's just an idiot? or at least tell him the same thing too. I hope you dont have kids...or at least is wealthy???....
Well, duh ... I guess we could all say that! I can remember a time when that would have made me very angry. The fact is your husband made a stupid comment. It ruined the moment I'm sure and maybe your day, but don't allow it to ruin your marriage!
At the least my wife would have a field day the rest of her life reminding me of it and making me feel like hell for a week solid. It's really a stupid comment to make no matter how awake he was.
Ahh that'd have me thinking as well! Not such a good thing to tell your wife. He probably didn't mean it in that way, maybe it just came out the wrong way. It seems he tried to say it differently afterward.
Ouch! There is going to be some chilly nights at your house. That would not be easy to get over. I am at a loss as to how to be a comfort to you on this one.
I`d be very upset and want to know who this other person is he might fall in love with. Typical male move sometimes they open mouth before inserting foot.

Makes perfect sense to me. If I fell in love with somebody else, I would leave him too. It happens.
